Tic Toc

So the clock is ticking.  It's my last Monday at work for 3 weeks.  Next week we are off Monday for the holiday.  I'm super happy that he didn't leave out over the weekend.  He'd get stuck in Atlanta with all the snow that they have there and the airport is already closed.  Most of you know that all homeward bound military fly through Atlanta....then to their final destination.  Those KIA come through Deleware.  Chartered flights go througth Bangor Maine.  It's all very confusing but the US Military has it all figured out...and the locals in each of the respective cities do as well and the USO and other Veteran's groups are gracious to assit.  For that we are thankful.  They have been known to hand out cell phones and say "call home, let them know where you are"  I got one of these such calls on the last return home...so that was a comfort, but also made me realize I was going to miss the plane's arrival.  Oy Vey!

Anyway, the other 1SG is back at the reigns of what T was handling the last 3 weeks or so.  He's wrapping up coordination of some other folks and then packing up his belongings and waiting...for his flight home.  He says the rainy season  is getting underway there.  It's miserable for about 2 months while it rains and the sand becomes muddy and a mess...nothing stays clean or even remotely nice.

Here's a couple of pictures to let you know he's still the same.
This is the "rides" they take.  You know kind of like the ones you would rent to go around oh the fairgrounds, Branson, where ever.

This is the serious look...ha!  Notice they are in tents.  This is when he was at a FOB...he's not currently in this location.
 7 and counting.
